Electronic security for ATMs, banks and commercial sites · one-page summary
E-Surveillance
Alarm and automation panels, edge video analytics, two-way audio, OTP access keypads, power control units and central monitoring software for ATM and bank e-surveillance companies, plus custom solutions.

The off-site ATM base is shrinking about 7% a year and CMS builds its own kit, but Rax fell faster because two products failed: repair them, prove it at ANG and SIS, sell AMC on 3,000 EVA units, and grow design, rack-monitoring and FIOT work alongside.
What we found
- The market is shrinking in the place Rax sells: scheduled-bank off-site ATMs fell from 98,267 to 73,693 between March 2022 and March 2026 while on-site machines rose; total ATMs peaked in March 2023, the same year Rax's revenue peaked. VerifiedS19S22S1
- Rax lost share on top of that and is no longer the major player it was in 2021 to 2023: e-surveillance revenue fell 58% in two years, from about 15% to under 4% of the service-company hardware pool, while CMS's HAWKAI doubled to about ₹200 Cr and SIS held 25,749 connections. VerifiedS46S56 EstimatedS2S19
- Buyers are consolidating and integrating backwards: CMS bought Securens (a Rax customer) and FSS's 8,000-ATM managed services and states it owns the full hardware stack; Securens specifies Securico and Vighnaharta panels; AGS Transact is in insolvency. VerifiedS46S47S54S76S59
- Regulation helps demand but mandates nothing Rax makes: RBI advised e-surveillance in 2019, MeitY's CCTV security rules bite from April 2026, TEC MTCTE covers cellular devices and routers; Rax holds neither BIS CRS nor MTCTE and its datasheets claim a CE mark it does not hold. VerifiedS20S27S30S10S1
- Prices are not the problem: Rax's 8-zone panel lists at ₹13,000 against Securico at ₹12,450, Vighnaharta at ₹9,275 and DSC at ₹6,000; bank rentals of ₹3,070 to ₹5,800 per site per month leave room for a kit that does not need truck rolls. Publicly observedS16S79S78S81S39S66
- The nearest growth is inside the existing accounts and adjacent to them: AMC on 3,000+ out-of-warranty EVA units, recovery of ANG's PSPB volumes, NBFC branches through iVIS (whose parent already buys from Rax) and the certified custom-design line that grew while e-surveillance fell. Where to sell first
- ATM and bank-branch e-surveillance service companies (existing accounts) 74Head of technology and procurement head at the service company; bank CSO sets the specification · About 115,000 monitored BFSI sites; about 27,000 kits a year; ₹93 Cr hardware; BFSI monitoring TAM ₹3,000 Cr
- Custom hardware and software design and small-batch manufacturing 73Engineering head or founder of an industrial OEM needing a controller, card or connected device · ₹1.95 Cr and growing at Rax; Indian high-mix low-volume EMS is a multi-thousand-crore pool with ODM margins of 8 to 14%
- Gold-loan NBFC and small-finance-bank branches 61NBFC head of security and admin; service company as prime · About 15,000 NBFC branches; the iVIS LOI alone is about 1,000 sites
Biggest risks
- CMS, now with Securens and FSS, builds its own HAWKAI hardware and consolidates the buyer base into one vertically integrated groupL5 × I5 · Offer CMS an OEM or contract-manufacturing role for site devices; keep SIS, iVIS and Igzy as counterweights
- Two products (ACS OTP keypad and PSPB) fail in the field at rates that cost accounts; ANG cut ₹2.02 Cr and ITAS ₹1.20 CrL5 × I5 · Bench 20 returned units per product, publish the fault finding, ship a fixed revision with 100% test, restart the service log
- The off-site ATM base keeps shrinking (down 25% since March 2022) so replacement demand for full site kits falls every yearL5 × I4 · Shift content toward on-site ATMs and branches (power control, OTP keypads) and toward NBFC branches and non-BFSI sites
First ninety days
| Action | Owner | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Bench-test twenty returned ACS OTP keypads and twenty PSPB units, record fault, batch and site, and ship a corrected revision with 100% functional test | Engineering head | Written fault report and a revised BOM by day 45; zero installation-time failures on the next 200 units |
| Take the fault report to ANG and SIS with a replacement plan and a 24-month warranty on the revised units | Managing Director | ANG PSPB orders restored to at least 150 units a month; SIS OTP keypad returns below 5% |
